All members of the Scotland Cricket Board, including the chairman, have resigned together over allegations of racism. Earlier, cricketer Majid Haque had accused the board of racism. Before the investigation report of that complaint was published, everyone on the board retired announcing on Twitter.

Majid was suddenly sent back to the country from the 2015 ODI World Cup. He was not seen playing for the national team after that. As a result, his career stopped at 54 ODIs and 21 T20Is. Then Majid alleged that he was a victim of racism by the board last year.

His teammate Kashim Sheikh supported Majid's allegations. Both said that they were victims racisms throughout their careers. A commission of inquiry was set up by Sport Scotland based on these allegations. International media reported that they have found evidence of racial discrimination against the Scotland Cricket Board.

Even the resignation statements of all the board members have indirect evidence of the allegations of racism. "The board is determined to act on what emerges from this report," they wrote in their resignation letter to the board's interim chief executive, Gordon Arthur.

The resignation letter added, ''We are deeply sorry and have publicly apologized in advance to anyone who has been the victim of racism or discrimination of any kind at Cricket Scotland. We believed that we should stand aside for the necessary improvements in the coming days.''
