Bangladesh's next destination is the West Indies after
a Test loss to Sri Lanka at home. The Tigers will play two Tests, three T20s and three ODIs in a
month-long tour from June 16 to July 16. The selectors have already announced the team. However,
the new attachment is Hasan Mahmud. The pacer will also fly with the ODI team on June
23.
Hassan last wore the national team jersey 14 months ago. He had to return to the country halfway through the tour of New Zealand due to injury. After a year of drama with that injury, he finally went to England and found out that he had a fracture in his spine. And it has been cured within a year.
After recovering, the young fast bowler has returned to the 22-yard with the Dhaka Premier League (DPL). However, he could not show his best performance in bowling. He played 7 matches for Mohammedan and got only 6 wickets. He was recently called to the Bangladesh Tigers camp.
The cricketers are currently on leave after a failed series against Sri Lanka. Shakib Al Hasan has gone to Singapore for a medical check-up. From there, he plans to travel to the United States to spend time with his family. Meanwhile, Tamim Iqbal has gone to the beauty city of Dubai for a vacation with his family.
However, the Tigers' spin bowling coach Rangana Herath is busy with special work. A special four-day camp for spinners has started from May 29 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. Under the BCB, 32 spinners from first-class and club cricket have been invited to the camp. Which is managed by the national team spin coach Herath.
However, the inclusion of Hasan Mahmud in the team has come as a big surprise. Despite raising many possibilities, Hasan could not settle down in the team before. His speed is his great strength. Hasan could not do justice to his name even if he was considered a long race horse in the team. Will he be able to perform if he gets the chance? The answer may take time.
