Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that under PM Krishi Sampada Yojana,
approximately 6,500 projects such as mega food parks, cold chain infrastructure,
agro-processing clusters had been authorized while waving off the 100th 'Kisan Rail'
from Sangola to Shalimar. He also noted that under the government 'Atmanirbhar' package,
Rs 10,000 crores had been approved for micro food processing industries.
What is Sampada Yojana's Pradhan Mantri Kisan?
It was a Central Sector Scheme and was supported by the middle in May 2017 by the 14th
Finance Commission cycle for the 2016-2020 period. The framework is now called the
"Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY)" scheme.
Objective: Supplementing agriculture, modernizing processing and reducing agri-waste is
the objective of PMKSY.

Financial allocation: PM Kisan Sampada Yojana has a Rs 6,000 crore budget and is planned

agro-produce. This scheme will help 20 lakh farmers generate 5,30,500 jobs in the
country by the year 2019-20.
